Requirements
  • An Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Ten or more years of experience in electrical design and engineering is required.
  • Five or more years of experience managing project managers and junior engineers is required.
  • Five or more years of product knowledge of key electrical components of a Protection & Control Panel, including SEL, Electroswitch, and test switches, is required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering and project management efforts on assigned projects and coordinate the individual engineering disciplines to achieve the most cost-effective total project solution.
  • Ensure engineering work is completed on schedule, meets quality standards and checking procedures, stays within baseline man-hour and material budgets, produces required deliverables, and executes change management in a timely manner.
  • Review schedule status and progress performance with clients regularly and keep General Managers informed of issues.
  • Ensure the quality of engineering execution and deliverables.
  • Participate in people development through mentoring, developing training material, and conducting or training seminars.
  • Develop and build client relations.
  • Coordinate and develop structural and electrical documents for scope definition, specifications, data sheets, equipment selection, drawing review, schematic development, wiring diagrams, physical layout drawings, and project close-out procedures for low- to medium-voltage industrial power distribution systems.
  • Prepare and review purchase orders for electrical equipment.
  • Coordinate inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing for Power Distribution Centers and control enclosure buildings with management and quality control personnel.
  • Apply relevant codes, governing regulations, and industry practices.
  • Perform the key duties and responsibilities set forth in QAP 30.1.3.
  • Work with the General Manager and Manufacturing Manager to set project priorities, schedules, workloads, and personnel requirements.
  • Oversee state inspection submissions and approvals and ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections for required projects.
  • Oversee building shipments, loading, offloading, and site installations to ensure successful project completion.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and proper project charge-offs before shipment.
  • Assist the General Manager with sales, site visits, research and development, purchasing, estimating, and other activities as needed.

It offers turnkey services from design and engineering through manufacturing and field support, with in-house engineering, fabrication, and testing to control timelines and quality. Its product lineup includes low- and medium-voltage switchgear, relay protection and control panels, modular power distribution centers, remote instrument enclosures, and fully integrated modular control houses, including E-Houses and data center solutions. Now owned by Neos Partners, Panelmatic is expanding into modular data centers and new markets while focusing on reliability in harsh environments and compliance with NEC/UL specifications.
