ROLE OVERVIEW:
The SpringHill Company is seeking a highly ambitious intern to join the Strategic Operations team for our 2024 10-week summer internship program. In this role, the successful candidate will work alongside the TSHC Strategy & Operations team to help drive the company’s strategic planning and business operations improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires a self-starter who is looking to develop an understanding of business operating strategy, strategic planning, and the media and entertainment landscape. Candidates should have the ability to maintain a positive, high-energy demeanor, navigate highly confidential situations, and provide a supreme level of professionalism and attention to detail across all teams and projects.
REPORTS TO: Director, Strategic Operations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and optimize the company’s strategic planning efforts (i.e., Annual Operating Plan, Long Range Plan, Quarterly Business Review)
- Identify and help implement business operational efficiencies, including owning an optimization project
- Partner with cross-functional leadership on strategic initiatives
- Develop presentations and materials for executive leadership
- Support the corporate strategy part of the team as needed
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program
- Required prior experience in entertainment, consulting, investment banking, or comparable industry
- Undergraduate degree from a 4-year university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or other quantitative discipline
- Exceptional project management skills
- Superior written, and verbal communication with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- High EQ and business acumen: able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and G-Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information, records, and reports
- Quantitative, analytical, data-driven decision maker
