Requirements
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine is required.
  • A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree is required.
  • A physician MD/DO credential from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board must be obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
  • Advanced Life Support certification is preferred, with American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
  • Candidates must be comfortable navigating both open and closed intensive care unit settings across rural and suburban facilities.
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-acuity care across the regional network, including open intensive care unit settings in Anderson and Kokomo and closed intensive care unit environments in Carmel and Fishers.
  • Manage a varied patient census while collaborating with a specialized team that handles all admissions.
  • Support the North Region team during census influxes and ensure continuity of care during peak seasons.
  • Integrate with provider groups across four hospital campuses and the greater Indianapolis medical community.
  • Pick up PRN 12-hour day or night shifts according to personal availability, with no minimum shift requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous Hospitalist experience is preferred.
  • Highly motivated new graduates will be considered.
