ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Working Student to join our Finance team and support our accounting operations at Pliant GmbH. You'll work hands-on in day-to-day finance — invoice processing, payment workflows, bookkeeping support — while also getting real exposure to how a fast-scaling fintech runs its financial infrastructure. If you're comfortable in digital tools, curious about automation, and want to contribute beyond routine tasks, this role is for you.
This is a working student role (20 hours per week). While we ideally look for someone based in Berlin, remote work can also be considered.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping
Process and review incoming invoices in our digital tools
Support documentation and filing
Assist with payment runs and verification workflows
Accounting Operations
Maintain master data, records, and document organisation
Support pre-accounting and reconciliation tasks
Collaborate with tax advisors and internal stakeholders
Month-End Support
Assist with monthly and annual close preparation
Support intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet tasks
Process & Automation
Flag inefficiencies and help improve accounting workflows
Support the use of AI tools to reduce manual work
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Currently enrolled in a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar
First experience in accounting or finance admin — internships count
You feel comfortable with digital-first workflows
Curious about AI and how it can make finance teams more efficient
Structured, reliable, and proactive — you take ownership and follow through
Fluent in English; German skill is a strong plus
