Requirements
  • An earned master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, business education, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field, as appropriate to the program.
  • An earned related or out-of-field master's degree from a regionally accredited institution, with documented post-secondary coursework beyond the introductory principles level in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a related field.
  • An earned related or out-of-field master's degree from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following: in-field professional certification; three years of in-field professional employment; research and publication in the field; or relevant additional coursework, continuing education units, vendor training, or military training beyond the bachelor's degree.
  • An earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a related field, with documentation in two or more of the following: professional certification; three years of in-field professional employment; evidence of teaching excellence; research and publication; or relevant additional coursework, continuing education units, vendor training, or military training beyond the bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
  • Use available technology to enhance instructional methods.
  • Supplement or alter lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials where appropriate, and maintain accurate student records, grades, and other required documentation.
  • Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that support student learning and a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning.
  • Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner while complying with College policies, guidelines, and expectations.
  • Maintain a safe, quality educational environment.
  • Promote an environment reflecting the broad backgrounds of students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.
  • Conduct all responsibilities within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
