Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a country club or equivalent.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to or over 25 pounds and move or lift awkwardly weighted items.
  • Close, depth, color, distance, and peripheral vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to comply with applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
  • Availability to work shifts as necessary based on business levels.
Responsibilities
  • Assist PGA TOUR players, members, and guests with their golfing needs to ensure a smooth and enjoyable golf experience.
  • Greet and welcome members and guests.
  • At opening, pull all golf cars from the golf-car facility to the bag-staging area.
  • Remove golf bags from members’ and guests’ cars, load them onto golf carts, and, where applicable, drive the golf cart to the staging area.
  • Provide members and guests with information that may help them play the course, including yardage-marker guidance.
  • Provide clean, operational golf cars stocked with towels, scorecards, pencils, and divot-repair material.
  • Drive dirty golf cars to the washing area, wash and wipe them, and restock them with supplies.
  • At closing, drive golf cars into the golf-car facility and connect them to the battery charger.
  • Keep the golf-car facility clean and orderly.
  • Perform periodic golf-car maintenance and minor special repairs, and update car-service records.
  • Service the practice facility by driving the picker and mechanically collecting golf balls.
  • Set up the practice facility for play and replenish its supply of practice balls.
  • Patrol the practice tee by golf cart, collect trash and practice-ball bags, and rotate the practice area according to the tee-maintenance program.
  • Collect, clean, and bag balls at the end of play, culling damaged balls to keep range balls in excellent condition.
  • Assist departing members and guests by cleaning golf clubs and carrying and placing them in their vehicles.
  • Work with Golf Shop staff to ensure members and guests follow club rules, including the dress code and beverage policy.
  • Ensure members and guests do not carry clubs to or from the practice facility, parking lot, or clubhouse areas.
  • Perform special projects and other assigned duties.
