Requirements
  • Willingness and ability to provide therapy inside family homes as a regular part of the position.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible, non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the full identified service territory to meet families and provide services where needed.
  • Ability and willingness to work with families in their own homes.
  • Qualified Professional status or eligibility for LMSW, LAPC, or LAMFT licensure, or possession of LCSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure.
Responsibilities
  • Carry an assigned caseload.
  • Participate actively as part of a therapy team, including weekly team and individual supervision meetings.
  • Refer families to appropriate services and supports and assist with clinical and concrete services.
  • Prepare case progress notes as required.
  • Participate in all training, supervision, and consultation activities.
  • Provide community-based mental health services to youth and their families in participants' homes following the Multisystemic Therapy evidence-based model.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct experience using pragmatic family therapies, including structural, strategic, and functional approaches.
  • Experience providing individual therapy to youth and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques.
  • Experience providing marital therapy using behaviorally based approaches.
  • Experience with behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance.
  • Experience implementing interventions within or between systems in the youth's natural ecology, including family, peer, school, and neighborhood systems.
  • Knowledge and application of family systems theory.
  • Knowledge and application of social-ecological theory.
  • Knowledge and application of behavioral therapy theory.
  • Knowledge and application of cognitive-behavioral therapy theory.
  • Knowledge and application of pragmatic family therapy theory.
  • Knowledge of child development research and its application in treatment.
  • Knowledge of social skills assessment and intervention.
  • Basic counseling and process skills.
  • Experience working with youth and families.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with individuals and families.
