Requirements
  • Associate’s degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience required, 5 years preferred
  • Prior experience within DoD networks
  • Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) or equivalent (required)
  • Nortel Meridian System Administration or equivalent (highly preferred)
  • IAT Level II (per DoD 8570.01-M)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level
  • US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location
Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), including Avaya Systems CM4.0
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of switch issues
  • Perform software updates and patching
  • Perform installation and configuration of switch hardware
  • Perform daily operation monitoring
  • Provide support for voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment)
  • Utilize company vehicle to travel to remote locations weekly
  • Ensure switch systems remain fully operational and compliant with DoD/Navy standards
  • Other duties as assigned.
