Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computer science, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Power Query.
  • Knowledge of iLEVEL and eFront is an asset.
  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, and private or alternative investments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
  • Good communication skills in English and French, or willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
  • Compile data and generate reports using various IT applications, including iLEVEL, eFront, GPS, GPF, and the Data Warehouse, and reconcile data between systems.
  • Maintain and enhance investment, portfolio, and performance data and dashboards within iLEVEL.
  • Perform periodic data collection and validation reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Maintain data governance standards and reporting controls.
  • Support corporate data-acquisition and integration initiatives, such as greenhouse-gas-emissions data, in other PSP systems.
  • Consolidate and synthesize financial and non-financial operating data from external sources and the Deal Team.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests from the Deal Team in a timely and concise manner.

Air Canada unlocks $2.5B from Aeroplan in 25% stake sale to Blackstone and Canadian institutions

Air Canada is selling a 25% stake in its Aeroplan loyalty programme to an investor group led by Blackstone and La Caisse for $2.5 billion, valuing the programme at $10 billion. The airline will retain 75% ownership and full operational control. Air Canada plans to use the proceeds to repay a US$1.2 billion debt maturity and fund share buybacks, including an $800 million substantial issuer bid expected to complete in September. The investor group also includes PSP Investments and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. Air Canada retains the right to repurchase the investors' stake between the fifth and eighth anniversaries of the transaction. The investment is scheduled to settle on 17 August 2026.

ADIA, PSP Investments buy $16.3M stake in SG Mart as shares rise 5%

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and PSP Investments acquired a combined 1.68% stake in SG Mart for ₹138 crore on 14 July. ADIA purchased 11.23 lakh shares (0.89% stake) for approximately ₹72.99 crore at ₹650 per share, whilst PSP Investments bought 10 lakh shares (0.79% stake) for ₹64.99 crore at ₹649.98 per share. The building materials solutions provider's shares rose 5% to close at ₹654.15 on the National Stock Exchange following the transaction. The institutional buying coincided with HR Global Manufacturing's exit, which sold a 1.74% stake worth ₹143 crore. HR Global subsequently acquired shares in Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services for ₹40.73 crore, suggesting portfolio rebalancing rather than concerns about SG Mart's fundamentals.
