The District Director will ensure proper territory management by their team while staying in tune with industry conditions. They should be creative in pursuing and overcoming obstacles that their team faces. They will be depended upon to be insightful and able to offer a different perspective, get creative, and challenge current thinking internally and externally in order to achieve goals. They will lead their team through challenging customer and prospect scenarios in and out of the field.
This position reports into the Senior Director of U.S. Growth Markets, and will lead a team of 12 FTEs, including direct and indirect reports.
In this role, you will:

Grow revenue and customer base through new sales acquisition and retention + growth of assigned accounts.

Develop a team to meet/exceed assigned sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Provide leadership for the dispersed sales team in the region through a hybrid phone/field sales model.

Develop and execute annual territory strategies and forecasts, including comprehensive sales and retention planning, for the territory.

Handle direct management of pre-sales (Account Executives) and post-sales (Account Management) teams.

Effectively handle performance across the team to hit goals for the regions.

Define characteristics of top performers for the organization. Identify, recruit, hire and train the team to build and retain a group of highly motivated, bold, and top performing Account Executives, Account Managers, and Sales Leaders.

Maintain an expert level of understanding of all products and services that OpenTable offers.

Maintain clear communication lines and a sense of camaraderie for your team from a distance.

Represent OpenTable as a leader in the industry and to assigned accounts.

30-50% travel is expected.

Minimum 5 years of sales leadership experience.

Experience at a fast paced/tech organization is required; restaurant industry experience is preferred.

Deep understanding of the restaurant industry, customer trends and the ability to weave these into tactical plans.

Experienced manager and key contributor who frequently overachieves on assigned goals with the ability to prioritize and focus a team.

Experience with sales modeling and forecasting.

Ability to confidently work with data to draw out insights and make data-led decisions.

Consistent record of sales success in a similar SaaS or start-up environment.

Experience includes complex high-value sales to key accounts and/or National Accounts.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced, multifaceted work environment. Will lead multiple high-priority and time sensitive initiatives in parallel.

Proven ability to lead a team with an entrepreneurial spirit, positive attitude, and passion for the business. Works with autonomy, needing little guidance.

Good sense of humor while working in an unstructured, fast paced environment.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this remote United States based role is $120,000-$150,000.
In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: annual cash bonus, equity grant; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
