Responsibilities
  • Review or coordinate plans, specifications, and construction for City projects within an assigned functional area, both in-house and at field locations.
  • Review consultant-prepared plans that may affect the assigned functional area.
  • Prepare project documents and reports.
  • Determine and monitor funding allocations.
  • Distribute required information to coordinate and facilitate construction.
  • Administer and/or supervise major components of engineering projects.
  • Coordinate project activities with state, federal, and regional agencies.
  • Work with architects, engineers, contractors, code officials, project stakeholders, and municipal leaders.
  • Occasionally travel locally and out of town for project work.
  • Work beyond normal working hours when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in effective project management techniques.
  • Experience reviewing plans, applying project specifications, cost estimating, and construction schedule management.
  • Knowledge of building codes.
  • Experience successfully working with architects, engineers, contractors, City and State code officials, project stakeholders, and municipal leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
