  • High School or GED
  • 1-2 years’ retail Sales Experience - Focus on Doors, Windows and/or Fencing
  • 1-2 years’ experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • 1-2 years’ retail experience
  • Experience in a sales position at a home improvement or hardware retailers in related department (e.g. millwork, plumbing, electrical, flooring)
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
Responsibilities
  • Being friendly and professional, eager to understand the customer’s specific needs to pair the best products and service offerings in support of their project.
  • Exhibit the “Seek” behavior by approaching customers with open-ended questions to build pipeline and service awareness.
  • Coordinate and host in store lead events.
  • Generate Core details, In-home Consultant leads, and SF&I leads.
  • Provide SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Seeks out customers to understand his/her needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary.
  • Schedules installer visits to potential customers' homes for measurement.
  • Follow-up with customers to ensure their needs were met and provide feedback to leader if needs were not met or service issues were reported.
  • Support the in home consultant, Services Territory Sales Manager, Specialty Assistant Store Manager with building the store’s pipeline culture by training associates on pipeline generation best practices and skills to increase pipeline and achieve company goals.
  • Validate installation signage is available as needed in bays to support services.
  • Attend Specialty Spotlight to roleplay pipeline generation strategies.
  • Partner with the STSM/SASM to execute pipeline events and create excitement around pipeline contests.
  • Build a relationship with local PROviders to gain feedback to benefit pipeline generation and customer experience.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties: top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices.
  • In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for other duties as assigned.
