Requirements
  • Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repairs on wind turbines.
  • Maintain safety training and Qualified Electrical Worker requirements.
  • Document service activity and parts consumption using company CMMS digital reporting systems.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and NFPA safety standards and follow LOTO procedures.
  • Have at least 2 years of wind maintenance, mechanical, and technical experience.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Be comfortable working at heights exceeding 300 feet, in confined spaces, and outdoors.
  • Be able to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Be willing to travel from time to time for training or to assist on other projects.
  • Be available for an on-call 24/7/365 rotation schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with peers, site leads, and clients to ensure project success.
  • Assist with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support other technicians with troubleshooting tasks when needed.
  • Record work performed and participate in safety briefings.
  • Communicate issues and solutions to leadership.
  • Interface and communicate with customers.
  • Work with Inventory Control to ensure projects are properly supplied with parts and consumables.
  • Learn and use mechanics, electricity, electronics, programmable logic controllers, and hydraulics to solve mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Interface with equipment programmable logic controllers to program, analyze performance, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and solve problems on renewable energy equipment.

  • Experience with Vestas V47 wind turbines.
