Requirements
  • Completed studies in the field of medical technology, mechanical engineering or similar (M.Sc or M.Eng)
  • Significant experience in product development and engineering delivering commercially successful products in a regulated industry
  • Experience with ISO and FDA quality systems regulations and medical device design and development cycles regarding MDD and MDR
  • Strong capabilities in construction and preparing technical documentations under MDR requirements
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Experience in leading change projects.
Responsibilities
  • Supporting the R&D department with the launch of new products (new product development and innovation) and other business-critical and/or revenue-generating initiatives from planning to commercialization.
  • Planning, execution, and optimization of change management processes.
  • Reviewing and planning the implementation of internal and external change notifications, convening the review committee, and closely coordinating with the R&D and Quality Management (QM) departments.
  • Managing and updating change notifications concerning communication with the notified body.
  • Supporting the initiation, execution, and completion of change projects, including organizing status meetings to ensure timelines are met.
  • Acting as an interface for integration projects and leading relevant, technically demanding development projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Presenting updates during leadership or management meetings, including project progress, business outcomes, and risks.
  • Responsibility for risk management in accordance with ISO14971 (identification, assessment and control of risks over the entire product life cycle, including creation and maintenance of the risk management file and execution of FMEA analyses)
  • Co-design and implementation of usability engineering according to IEC 62366-1 (planning and implementation of usability analyses, usability tests and evaluations to minimize application-related risks)
  • Interface function between development, quality management and clinical application (ensuring regulatory conformity and user-friendliness of medical devices through close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams)
