Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, social sciences, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated communication skills with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and handle competing tasks and priorities.
  • Proven ability to track and monitor data for planning and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Work with EDC Capital and Asset Management project managers and contractors/consultants to develop strategies to increase outreach and utilization of M/W/DBEs in waterfront construction.
  • Support the operations and development of processes and standards for the Waterfront Pathways program.
  • Utilize program monitoring and performance measuring tools to track the trajectory of M/W/DBE firms that have been through any of NYCEDC’s Waterfront Pathways to determine program impact and produce reports for President’s Office and Department leadership.
  • Support the management of the program consultant in the delivery training and technical assistance to participating firms of the training program.
  • Establish and foster relationships with M/W/DBE organizations, small business organizations, and other public agencies and represent NYCEDC at M/W/DBE related events.
  • Create presentations and assist in creating marketing material for the Waterfront Pathways Program.
  • Conducts policy research and analysis to prepare reports to the Mayor’s Office of M/WBE and government partners.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in advocating on behalf of MWBEs in industry support programming in developing strategies for MWBE engagement.
  • Handle other ad hoc tasks that support the expansion of M/W/DBEs in various business markets in NYC.
  • Other duties as assigned.
