- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience in long-term care is preferred.
- The employee must maintain resident rights and confidentiality and follow established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Clean furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, heating and cooling units, and other surfaces by washing, dusting, or polishing as scheduled or assigned.
- Clean floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping, or damp or wet mopping as scheduled or assigned.
- Empty trash, clean trash receptacles, and transport trash to the proper area.
- Report burned-out light bulbs, broken or defective equipment, maintenance concerns, pest control problems, and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions to a supervisor.
- Interact positively with residents, family members, guests, and personnel.
- Communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with other team members.
- Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience in long-term care.
- A positive attitude.
