  • Degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, or similar
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate existing technologies in the national lab and commercial space
  • Develop systems that meet facility and regulatory requirements
  • Define control methodology for process systems and equipment
  • Establish performance criteria, test protocols, and test equipment
  • Develop technical parameters, deploy, and operate a test bed to use in refining subsystem design and operation
  • Generate documentation guiding the fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of control systems
  • Serve as system and/or subsystem technical lead through multiple lifecycle stages
  • Generate technical documentation to be included in regulatory filings
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with control narratives and philosophies, piping and instrumentation diagrams, interlock lists, instrument specifications, ladder logic, or instrument set points
  • Experience designing, managing, commissioning, and operating DCS, PLC, and HMI systems
  • Experience leading or serving as a subject matter expert in process hazard analysis studies
  • Experience deploying or working on pilot or first-of-a-kind plant facilities
  • Commercial or government nuclear experience
