- MD and board certification in psychiatry.
- A New York State appropriate practitioner license and Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
- Enrollment as a Medicaid provider in New York State.

- Experience with underserved populations and direct service to children, adolescents, and adults living with serious and persistent mental illness.
- Experience prescribing buprenorphine and naltrexone.
- Support the Clinic Director in all aspects of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic’s psychiatric care, including evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults; medication; medication-assisted treatment; and crisis services.
- Provide health assessments, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, medication-assisted treatment using suboxone and vivitrol, and psychotherapy directly and in consultation with Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic and primary care staff.
- Prescribe, educate, adjust medications, and partner in full consumer engagement efforts regarding strategies, outcomes, and consequences for Brooklyn and Harlem.
- Provide consultation to psychiatric nurse practitioners and registered nurses at Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic clinics in Fulton and CTI.
- Liaise with the on-site pharmacy by developing protocols, providing consultation, and facilitating an integrated relationship.
- Assist the Clinic Director with clinical quality improvement projects and implementation of innovative clinic practices.
- Create, implement, and assess treatment processes and procedures based on diagnosis, individual needs, and level of care.
- Collaborate and consult with staff, sign off on treatment plans for complex cases with other Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic leadership, and assess, plan, and implement staff development opportunities.
- Develop community and referral partnerships and academic affiliations, including offering the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic as an elective for residents.
- Promote the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic’s services, participate in external workgroups, and engage the public regarding the clinic and organization.
- Provide consultation in service provision for nurse practitioners and registered nurses at Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic clinics in Brooklyn and Harlem.
- Participate in agency Incident Review Committee meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- One to two years of managerial experience in a behavioral treatment setting.
