Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • At least 3 years of proven work experience as a Technical Training Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in different environmental conditions and remain results-oriented.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience developing technical course content.
  • Knowledge of web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques.
  • Ability to explain technical terms using simple language.
  • Willingness or ability to obtain an additional training certification, such as Certified Technical Trainer, is advantageous.
  • Ability to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear regularly; reach with hands and arms frequently; stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally; and lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and team skills gap analyses.
  • Develop technical training courses for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, including outlines, text, handouts, hands-on exercises, and training evaluations.
  • Coordinate product-related training, including presentations of new features and simulation activities in a demo environment.
  • Oversee implementation of the learning management system, including vendor selection and deployment.
  • Ensure all new hires complete essential technical training and ongoing training certification.
  • Establish processes to monitor training participant results and collect feedback on instructors to determine effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
  • Schedule in-house educational sessions.
  • Measure improvements in employee job performance at the end of each course.
  • Gather feedback from trainees and instructors and recommend improvements to the learning process.
  • Act as the main point of communication regarding training and requirements between customers and the Customer Service Department.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to maintain motivation and help them achieve individual and team performance goals.
  • Delegate work assignments to trainers and writers to meet established goals.
  • Manage customer training queries and resolve issues in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Determine skill and performance enhancement programs to keep the training team technically current and improve productivity.
  • Ensure team members follow company safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage expenses within the allotted budget.
  • Work with various teams to achieve customer service, profitability, and cost-effectiveness goals.
  • Oversee performance evaluations, appraisals, and training needs for team members.
  • Travel as required for the position.
