Interns are an important part of what makes JLL a great place to work. Within our program, interns are an integral part of our team working alongside real estate analysts, transaction professionals and other associates. You will gain valuable insight into the commercial real estate industry while being exposed to multiple lines of business over the course of your internship.
AS A RETAIL/INDUSTRIAL LEASING SUMMER INTERN AT JLL YOU WILL:
Retail
- Gather market information and provide support for the retail brokerage team
- Prepare for pitches and create other marketing materials using Adobe software
- Support proposal process
- Learn the daily operations of leasing and selling retail spaces
- Participate in site visits to compile tenant information
- Participate in market tours with retail clients (tenant representation)
- Help create and organize marketing material for tour packages
- Understand the retail markets and identify new opportunities for retail clients
Industrial
- Tracking vacant parcels of land
- Learn the daily operations of leasing and selling of warehouses and industrial land
- Conduct and verify research, providing support for the brokers
- Gathering market information and provide support for the industrial team
- Support proposal process
- Manage the database of property owners and reach out to new and potential clients
- Participate in weekly team meetings, intern meetings and mentor/mentee meetings
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Management, Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration, etc.
- Experience in the commercial real estate sector is an asset
- Must be currently enrolled in university or college
- Interpersonal, articulate, responsive, and highly organized.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to learn quickly and be highly motivated to seek out answers.
Estimated total compensation for this position:
41,600.00 – 49,920.00 CAD per year
The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
