  • A bachelor's degree in a health/life sciences discipline or in a business administration related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory optimization and planning
  • Minimum 3 years of operations experience in life science or biotechnology fields
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership/supervisory role with an eye for the big picture
  • Experience with NetSuite or other equivalent ERP systems
  • Solid problem-solving/analytical skills and ability to extract meaningful takeaways from complex information and to turn insights into actions
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels in the organization internally or externally
  • High level of self-initiative and ability to prioritize, work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Suite, strong technical aptitude and systems savvy
  • Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds or more
  • Manage the Inventory Control (I.C) Team's day-to-day operations and team members' schedules
  • Oversee various responsibilities related to inventory control management in NetSuite such as monitoring inventory level of raw materials, lot controlled inventory, inventory adjustments/transactions and inventory variances
  • Ensure physical and system inventory integrity and alignment
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual inventory audits with relevant cross-functional teams and ensure the company's inventory management policy is properly documented and followed. Will work with external auditors as needed
  • Identify opportunities and risks in inventory control and supply planning via thorough inventory data analysis coupled with operational metrics. Set objectives and action items for inventory control management and cross functional team coordination
  • Identify inactive, excess, MRB, and risk inventory and collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain and Lab Operations Teams to determine root causes and corrective/preventive actions in financial reconciliation and inventory planning
  • Develop a keen understanding of inventory operations in order to define and maintain the clinical testing BOMs and manufacturing BOMs up to date for use in operational cost analysis for each product line
  • Develop, review and sign off SOPs for all internal team and department processes, including lab inventory and reagent/consumable management systems. Provide internal training to ensure that all procedures are followed daily by the IC team
  • Be a point person for ensuring that safe storage requirements are in place for lab reagents and consumables by understanding laboratory assay workflows as well as supply and safety specifications
  • Serve as a lead and technical resource for problem solving and process improvement
  • Assist in strategic development of programs and projects on any lab consumable changes from scoping to scale-up phase
  • Determine opportunities, risks, deliverables and timelines, which may involve project management, coordinating and leading meetings and preparing next steps and status
