  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in security management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the defense industry
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CPP)
  • Deep understanding of DoD security regulations and standards
  • Experience with NIST and CMMC frameworks
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy aligned with the company’s objectives and DoD requirements
  • Oversee the protection of company facilities, equipment, and personnel. Implement access control systems, surveillance, and security protocols
  • Lead the cybersecurity efforts to protect the company’s digital assets, including networks, systems, and data. Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards
  • Manage background checks, security clearances, and insider threat programs. Ensure all personnel adhere to security policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses. Develop and implement mitigation strategies for identified security risks
  • Develop and manage incident response plans for security breaches or incidents. Coordinate with law enforcement and DoD as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant DoD regulations, including NIST, CMMC, and other security frameworks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes
  • Develop and implement security training programs for all employees. Foster a culture of security awareness within the organization
  • Work closely with engineering, IT, legal, and operations teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the company’s operations and product development
  • Regularly report to senior leadership on the status of the company’s security posture, incidents, and improvements
