Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer supporting Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, or hardware systems.
  • Experience providing input to the Risk Management Framework process and documentation.
  • Experience executing architecture focused on Cyber Risk Assessments or performing technical analysis of cybersecurity architectures.
  • Experience developing threat scenarios to support Cyber Tabletop exercises.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Ability to brief senior leaders and translate technical requirements to non-technical audiences.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • DoD 8140 Intermediate Certification such as Security+, GSEC, or CSSLP Certification.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and rapidly deploy space sensing capabilities with colleagues and military personnel.
  • Test, analyze, evaluate, validate, and verify mission systems.
  • Identify areas requiring urgent mitigation and develop advanced technology solutions.
  • Lead sustainment, optimization, security, and lifecycle management of complex, mission-critical networks supporting government mission systems.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for high availability, secure data transport, and resilient communication paths across the sustainment portfolio.
  • Lead assessments of the current security posture and recommend mitigation strategies across the portfolio.
  • Partner with cyber personnel to track and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Drive assessment findings into actionable operational and acquisition channels as the central security authority.
  • Advise chief engineers to embed critical security modifications and architectural upgrades in strategic roadmaps with clear deployment pathways.
  • Ensure vital cybersecurity requirements are prioritized and captured in government funding requests.
  • Serve as the senior architectural authority for government customers.
  • Merge engineering methodologies and coordinate across disciplines to create solutions for space sensing in the Air Force.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with space-based remote sensing systems or ground satellite operations centers.
  • Experience developing system security Concept of Operations and defining baseline system security requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related technical field.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related technical field.
  • DoD 8140 Advanced Certification such as CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSAP, GDSA, or CCNP Certification.

Booz Allen Hamilton prices $1.2B senior notes to fund Ultra Mission Solutions acquisition

Booz Allen Hamilton's subsidiary has priced $1.2 billion in senior notes, comprising $700 million of 5.375% notes due 2030 and $500 million of 5.900% notes due 2034. The offering is expected to close on 4 August 2026. The company will use the proceeds to partially finance its acquisition of Ultra Electronics Advanced Tactical Systems, repay approximately $714 million of existing term loan debt, and support general corporate purposes. The Ultra Mission Solutions acquisition is expected to complete in the second quarter of Booz Allen's fiscal year 2027. If the acquisition is not completed by 19 December 2026 or a later agreed date, the company must redeem the 5.900% notes in a special mandatory redemption. BofA Securities, JPMorgan Securities, PNC Capital Markets, and Truist Securities are serving as joint bookrunners for the offering.

Booz Allen Hamilton revenue falls 4.2% to $2.8B in Q1 as civil work drops 16%

Booz Allen Hamilton reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $2.8 billion, down 4.2% year-over-year, as a 1% rise in national security revenue was offset by a 16% decline in civil revenue. The government-services company said profitability and cash flow exceeded expectations and reaffirmed its full-year guidance. Adjusted EBITDA rose to $334 million, whilst adjusted diluted earnings per share increased 22% to $1.81. Free cash flow was $261 million in the quarter. Funded backlog increased 15% to $4.7 billion, whilst total backlog rose 3% to over $39 billion. The company's book-to-bill ratio was 1.5 times in the quarter. Booz Allen expects to close its acquisition of Ultra IC Mission Solutions in the second quarter, which it says should deliver strong double-digit revenue growth and EBITDA margins above 20%.

Operating margin improved to 10%, up from 8.8% in the same quarter last year. Free cash flow margin also increased to 9.3% from 3.3% year on year. Analysts project revenue growth of 3.8% over the next 12 months, below the sector average.
