Requirements
  • A track record of growing a brand's organic social reach and engagement, supported by specific numbers and outcomes.
  • Experience running social media for a business-to-business software-as-a-service company and making technical, less-visual products compelling on social media.
  • Ability to independently own a social calendar from quarterly strategy through caption writing, scheduling, and publishing.
  • Ability to plan a quarter of content and execute timely posts on the same day.
  • A demonstrable understanding of what makes content spread.
  • Strong writing ability with the capacity to adapt tone across platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Comfort using social management and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or native platform analytics, and turning performance data into a clear assessment of what is working.
Responsibilities
  • Own Spellbook's social media calendar end-to-end across every platform, from ideation through scheduling and publishing.
  • Balance day-to-day content with a longer-term content strategy tied to company milestones, product launches, and pipeline goals.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, mentions, and direct messages in a timely, on-brand way.
  • Build relationships with the legal technology community, customers, and relevant creators and journalists who can amplify reach.
  • Define and protect Spellbook's voice and visual identity across every social channel, keeping it consistent with the broader brand.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and the executive team to turn company news, product launches, and thought leadership into shareable content, including ghostwriting and editorial support for executive posts.
  • Build a social strategy based on reach and engagement, identifying and acting on trends, cultural moments, and platform mechanics.
  • Track performance against reach, engagement, follower growth, and share-of-voice metrics, and use the data to improve the strategy.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in legal technology or another compliance-heavy, trust-driven business-to-business industry.
  • Experience building a social function from scratch as the first social hire.
  • Experience building substantial reach on a personal or side social account, demonstrating the ability to experiment, iterate, and grow an audience organically.

Spellbook uses generative AI integrated with Microsoft Word to help legal teams draft, review, and manage contracts. It analyzes text in Word, suggests changes for missing clauses and inconsistencies, and checks regulatory compliance; Spellbook Associate can autonomously plan and execute complex legal tasks. It differentiates itself with in-workflow AI inside Word, a privacy-focused large-scale platform, and agentic AI capabilities. Its goal is to boost legal efficiency and accuracy so lawyers spend more time on strategic advice and client service.

  • If acquisitions stall or integrations fail, Spellbook becomes a niche feature, not a platform.

Spellbook launches autonomous AI system to manage contracts end-to-end for 4,500+ legal teams

Spellbook, an AI contract infrastructure platform used by over 4,500 legal teams across 80 countries, has launched Autonomous Contract Management (ACM), which it describes as the first AI system handling contracts end-to-end. The platform manages the entire contract lifecycle from initial receipt through renewal. Spellbook ACM operates across three workflows: intake, which autonomously pulls contracts from email, Slack and Salesforce, triaging and reviewing against standards; review, where negotiations run in organised workspaces with automatic version tracking; and insight, which stores agreements post-signature and flags renewals whilst monitoring for regulatory changes. The launch addresses persistent inefficiencies in contract management, with a recent Spellbook Labs report showing contract issue rates haven't improved in 20 years despite existing CLM tools. The system is rolling out to select teams, with a waitlist available.

RBC provides $40M debt financing to AI legal tech startup Spellbook for acquisitions

Spellbook, a St. John's-based legal AI software startup, has secured $40 million in debt financing from Royal Bank of Canada to acquire struggling competitors in the generative AI market. The company, officially named Dialog Enterprises Inc., launched one of the first generative AI tools for lawyers in 2022. Spellbook's AI copilot, powered by large language models including OpenAI's GPT-5, helps lawyers and corporations draft, edit and review legal contracts within Microsoft Word. The company tripled its revenue in 2025 and expects to reach $100 million in annual recurring revenues by year-end, according to CEO Scott Stevenson. The firm serves over 4,000 customers across 80 countries, including Nestlé, Dropbox and eBay. It recently signed a two-year partnership with the Canadian Bar Association to provide AI tools to 40,000 legal professionals.
