XM Strategist - Integrated Healthcare & Regulatory Strategist
Why We Have This Role
- XM Strategists enhance our sales teams with their expertise through client engagements, including executive coaching and workshops. They focus on key deals and strategic accounts to improve closure times, deal sizes, and win rates.
- The Strategist for our Healthcare (HLS) business will serve as an presales advisor in key XM areas (regulatory, customer, employee, market research) specifically for our Payors with a secondary focus on Providers and Integrated Health Systems. Expect 60% of your time to be client-facing, while the other 40% focuses on internal workstreams key to our regulatory footprint and go-to-market strategies.
- This role also involves cross-functional tasks like solution enablement, product input, content generation, analyst relationship contributions, event attendance, and account-based marketing efforts.
How You’ll Find Success
- Thrive as a subject matter expert focused on pre-sales engagements that build, expand and close pipeline in the most critical accounts for the business, with the most critical stakeholders and decision makers.
- Candidate should have a broad understanding of Medicare, the Medicare Advantage product, and the CMS Stars Rating system for measuring Medicare Advantage plans.
- Bring significant SME in QHP, MA and PDP, & HEDIS CAHPS and HOS, with the ability to create and strengthen our GTM positioning. This means you understand the complexities of how these measures are deployed, and their detailed connection to reimbursements. You stay on top of the latest changes, and understand the CMS guidelines of the administration of these measures. Qualtrics is an approved vendor for all Payor (and Provider) CAHPS Programs, Serve as a strategic partner to the sales team and the prospective customer in key opportunities, delivering outputs that help customers build their vision for experience management, and design their roadmaps towards the art of the possible.
- This is a presales support role. Program deployment and ongoing support is handled by a different team within Qualtrics.
Things You’ll Do
Support Strategic Prospective Sales Opportunities.
- Work directly with sales teams pursuing key deals across quarters and years. These deals could range from large dollar deals with significant impact on short-term company performance to important industry leaders who prefer to take a crawl-walk-run approach to XM.
- Protect and Grow net new ACV by demonstrating the depth and breadth of Qualtrics’s healthcare expertise.
Engage with Select, Strategic Current Customers
- Deepen relationships with current clients that have the capacity to act as flagship advocates and are wanting to significantly expand their license within or across XM categories.
- Engage with select existing customers and advise teams (internal and ecosystem) in key flagship accounts.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the C-suite / budget holders of our most valued customers.
Own & Execute Internal Communications & Thought Leadership
- We’ll look to you to keep source, develop and/or update key internal communication and GTM assets. Examples include and are not limited to; Competitive Intelligence, Customer Proof Points, Use Cases, Go-to-Market Solution Pitch Deck. You will have support from Product Marketing to synthesize materials but you will be the SME.
- Own the strategy and vision for Qualtrics XM Stars performance.
- Provide guidance to the PMM team on product positioning and messaging, competitive intelligence and key trends influencing how we position and grow.
- Partner with product team to build Stars-focused roadmap
- Provide guidance to the teams responsible for unlocking barriers to growth in this market (e.g. accessibility, security, procurement frameworks) and work with these groups to proactively address critical issues
- Provide guidance on thought leadership content to help build our brand in the market. Be a visible, strategic thought leader at our most strategic customer events
Own & Execute External Communication and Thought Leadership.
- In alignment with our events marketing team, you’ll develop conference strategy, identify public speaking engagements, and key social media communications (i.e., Linkedin publications and posts). You’ll also draft a quarterly newsletter highlighting our solution differentiation as well as any change in the regulatory environment pertinent to our payor clients. Draft additional materials as appropriate.(Example)
Benchmarks
- While this role will primarily focus on our Payor business as subsequent regulatory needs, this role will also support regulatory needs for our Provider business. An intermediate understanding of benchmarks is preferred. A desire to become an our presales benchmarks expert (for both payer and provider) is required.
What We’re Looking For
- College degree. Graduate degree preferred. 10+ years of experience leading, advising, working within an integrated healthcare system, payor organization and/or SaaS organization
- Experience working in or with enterprise teams owning CX, EX or MR functions within the healthcare setting
- Medicare Advantage Stars program experience is highly preferred.
- Experience consulting on the design and implementation of Experience Management (XM) Programs - Employee or Customer/Patient
- Significant experience and in depth understanding of regulatory feedback programs (e.g., Stars, CAHPS). Magnet, Leapfrog, SOPS are not required, but the ability to learn these functional areas is highly desirable
- Significant experience and in-depth understanding of healthcare benchmarks, specifically how organizations use them, their importance, and when not to leverage benchmarks.
- A strong knowledge of survey/assessment design, change management consulting, and quantitative or qualitative data analysis.
- A strong understanding of industry trends and an ability to articulate for the layperson.
- Demonstrated ability to persuasively communicate complex concepts at the highest level within organizations and an ability to build relationships with strategic decision makers.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
