Cyber Systems Engineer – Senior Advisor

Peraton is seeking a System Engineer to be responsible for architectural design and development, end-to-end engineering of interfaces, both internal and external, and architectural level system engineering activities. Work will also include definition and management of system requirements and verification activities. The preferred candidate should be able to work and function in a dynamic environment where requirements can change according to the customer needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required with twenty (20) year’s experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and, complexity.Four (4) years of additional general engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Multi-discipline background including both hardware and software development with experience working in an Agile environment.
• Ability to objectively assess possible architectural limitations or shortcomings in areas such as scaling, speed, and throughput.
• Knowledge of SIGINT mission systems.
• Solid understanding of applicable commercial technologies and commercial best practices, as they relate to the specific demands of SIGINT.
• Experience supporting system and S/W architecture, development, requirements analysis, design, process execution and evaluation, selections and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools and test integration.
• Experience working with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, IPv4/6, etc.
• Familiarity with code development, test and configuration management tools.
• Proficiency with Linux and with scripting in Perl.
• Familiarity with XML/XSD, messaging and schemas.
