Lanai is building the first Enterprise AI Observability and Security platform, creating the missing infrastructure layer for the AI revolution. At Lanai, you'll be tackling fascinating technical problems at the intersection of browser extension development, edge computing, and real-time data analysis. Our engineering challenges include detecting AI interactions across thousands of interfaces, building sophisticated local ML classification systems, and creating intuitive visualizations that make complex AI usage patterns immediately actionable.

Located in Palo Alto, our highly-technical, nerdy (and nice!) small team brings together enterprise leaders from SignalFx, VMware, Google, and Meta. We're advised by industry leaders including Fredrick "Flee" Lee (CISO at Reddit), Raghu Raghuram (former VMware CEO), and Yvonne Wassenaar (former CIO of New Relic).

The Challenge

As our Founding Product Design Leader, you'll create intuitive interfaces that make complex AI governance concepts understandable and actionable. This isn't incremental improvement—it's creating something unprecedented. Your designs will power systems that visualize, protect, and optimize how enterprises interact with AI at scale.

Impact You'll Have

• Lead the entire UX design process autonomously from concept to execution, crafting intuitive, visually compelling user and enterprise experiences

• Develop and implement scalable design systems that can evolve with our rapidly growing product

• Create clear, engaging visualizations of complex data flows and risk assessments for technical and non-technical users

• Translate user research into actionable insights that drive product development

• Transform how enterprises visualize and interact with AI by designing interfaces that make governance intuitive and accessible

What You Bring

• Deep expertise in UX/UI design across B2B enterprise products (8+ years experience)

• Experience building and scaling design systems from 0→1: Early employee experience at successful startups OR led new product initiatives at major tech companies

• Enterprise domain understanding with experience designing for technical buyers

• Robust portfolio demonstrating expertise across the entire design lifecycle: user research, information architecture, visual design, and customer iteration

• Background in designing data visualizations and complex system interfaces

• Strong skills in modern design tools (Figma, Sketch) and prototyping methodologies

• Willingness to work in Palo Alto 3x/week
