Reporting to our Head of Platform Engineering, you will play a critical role in building the platform that allows Union’s engineering teams to deliver cutting edge product capabilities to our growing customer base. We are looking for innately curious individuals, who pride themselves on their ability to look around corners, build with simplicity and resiliency and are relentlessly focused on the customer. 

In this role, you will:

• Design and build a platform that allows Union to support its products on any computing platform, including cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as large enterprise data centers 

• Design and build continuous integration, verification and deployment strategies for distributed software applications

• Help the team expand the the Union Cloud product to multiple public and private cloud providers

• Develop and maintain tooling to make our systems more reliable, secure and performant

• Design and build scalable monitoring and observability systems and best practices

• Work closely with broader Engineering teams to improve developer experience

About you: 

• Strong technical background with 5+ years experience as an Infrastructure, Platform or SRE Engineer

• You are a curious engineer with a desire to work at a fast paced startup, we often wear multiple hats

• You have experience leading complex projects from planning to completion

• You like to think about the big picture and how all of the components of the system fit together

• Proficient in writing complex software using Golang and Python

• Bonus points if you have hands-on experience with multi-tenant environments
