Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience with manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot machinery using technical principles, drawings, manuals, and established procedures.
  • Working knowledge of programmable logic controller controls and programming.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A valid U.S. passport, or the ability to obtain one.
Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer facilities and manufacturing sites in the United States and internationally to provide field service support.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in manufacturing environments.
  • Provide on-site technical support for equipment operation, maintenance, commissioning, and repair.
  • Support the installation, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial equipment and engineered systems.
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to verify proper operation and performance.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, operating manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and develop practical, effective solutions.
  • Perform instrument loop checks and system safety checks.
  • Troubleshoot and tune equipment controls and system integration.
  • Apply programmable logic controller knowledge to support the troubleshooting, programming, design, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Provide technical training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Investigate equipment failures and customer complaints and determine appropriate corrective action.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports documenting findings, recommendations, and resolutions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to resolve technical issues and improve customer satisfaction.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, industrial fuel-fired equipment, engineered systems, aluminum, primary metals, or similar industrial environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and computer-aided design and drafting applications.
