  • In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM and other relevant functional areas like Payroll, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence Management, and Learn.
  • Understanding of Workday architecture, configuration, customization, continuous integration pipeline, reporting, and test automation methodologies and tools.
  • Proven experience in product ownership or product management roles, preferably within enterprise systems or ERP platforms.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Clear and effective communication, both verbal and written, to articulate messages to various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, evaluate options, and make informed decisions based on logical conclusions.
  • Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, including backlog management, sprint planning, and participation in Scrum ceremonies.
Responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining a clear product roadmap for Workday functional areas (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Learn, etc.) and prioritizing features based on business impact, urgency, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prioritizing the product backlog, refining user stories, and ensuring that Workday solutions meet business needs and user expectations.
  • Serve as an intermediary between stakeholders (HR COEs, IT, business units, Executive team) and functional or technical teams by effectively managing expectations and fostering clear communication. Lead requirements gathering sessions, identifying operational pain points, and designing scalable, user-centered solutions within the Workday platform.
  • Continually innovate by launching new functionality, enhancing existing offerings, and optimizing the Workday platform for performance and user experience.
  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of Workday’s bi-annual release, including developing test cases, executing tests, reviewing releases, resolving issues, and verifying test outcomes. The role also includes evaluating and preparing for the adoption of feature releases, as well as supporting the implementation of new features and ongoing system maintenance.
  • Supporting root cause analyses for functional area issues, as well as cross-functional and interfacing issues, and managing problem and service tickets.
