Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
  • Certification as a nursing assistant or six months of recent experience as a nursing assistant is required.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant, one clinical semester of nursing school, successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course, or six months of previous healthcare experience may satisfy the experience requirement.
  • Basic Life Support training or retraining is required during orientation before providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification must be maintained through retraining for the duration of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Take and record vital sign data and relay it to the patient's nurse.
  • Provide general nursing care and routine treatments and procedures.
  • Facilitate patient processing.
  • Provide clerical receptionist support.
  • Provide coordinating support.
  • Perform additional duties related to the specific needs of the department.
Desired Qualifications
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification is preferred.
