Position Title: Freelance Traffic Coordinator  

Position Reports To: Manager, Traffic

Position Summary: MLB Network is seeking a Traffic Coordinator to join our team. This individual will help the Traffic and Planning Teams facilitate media buys across multiple live sports networks and national accounts. 

Responsibilities:             

• Daily entry of commercial advertising schedule.
• Daily entry of media orders into work order management system.
• Monitor the media schedules of multiple linear networks and ensuring quality control of the media schedule.
• Fulfill specialized advertiser scheduling requests.
• Implement multiple daily revisions for changes in commercial inventory and commercial copy.
• Execute order revisions and daily proofreading of traffic logs.
• Prepare pre-logs, post logs and other reporting, as needed.
• Provide support on financial billing, as needed.
• Other such duties as required.

Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate must have most if not all of the following skills and experience:

• Must have minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of sales planning systems (e.g. Broadway, Wide Orbit, and AdBook).
• Must be able to work independently to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
• Must have strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
• Ability to initiate and maintain collaborative working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Demonstrate the tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in the environment of live television.
• Excellent technical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to maintain and protect confidential information.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function as an effective team member.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Possess the manual dexterity to effectively operate keyboard/mouse on computers, edit equipment, etc.
• Possess the visual acuity needed to effectively deliver required work product.
• Possess the auditory acuity needed to effectively deliver required work product.
• Ability to sit or stand for sufficient lengths of time in order to effectively deliver required work product.
  • Possess sufficient eyesight to work effectively.
