Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
  • Advanced degree and/or certification in a relevant field/function highly valuable
  • ~20 years of experience in relevant functions/industries
  • Experience successfully leading global teams, processes, and suppliers within a multi-national biopharmaceutical organization
  • Demonstrated success driving results in the Direct Category or related categories through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Expert insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations
  • Experience managing Director level professionals required
Responsibilities
  • Acts as an influential leader and partner with senior stakeholders
  • Leads and/or participates in senior management discussions related to the Direct category
  • Represents the SVP and Global Procurement in driving key organizational decisions in the Direct Category
  • Leads critical negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement for the Direct Category
  • Leverage strong in-depth knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Leading the development, retention, and recruiting of Global Procurement talent
  • Acting as a role-model while exhibiting leadership behaviors across an organization of direct reports
  • Operating with integrity, focus, clarity, and sound judgement in an environment of ambiguity
