  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • 5 (five) years of business experience, preferably including portfolio management, marketing, or new product commercialization in a private, public, government, or military environment

Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Implement portfolio strategies, including Integrated Business Planning (IBP), price corridors, and supply coordination.
  • Strategy Development: Develop portfolio specific strategies with priority on revenue growth and volume increase. Lead portfolio optimization to enhance gross margin.
  • Innovation (NPI): Support and lead new product development from discover to post launch. Build NPI hopper through understanding market trends and customer insights. Develop portfolio specific expertise to become the subject matter expert.
  • Marketing and Execution: Articulate and execute the global portfolio marketing plan to drive growth, while overseeing operational fundamentals like pricing and inventory planning.
  • Global Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a global cross-functional team to drive revenue growth, new product execution, margin, and on time in full service for the portfolio.
  • Business Acumen: Be agile and able to solve complex problems with strong business acumen and creativity, and build business plans based on developing a deep understanding of the market
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in MBA in Business / Marketing from an accredited institution
  • Product spec-in experience, ideally with architects and designers
  • Skills include: Microsoft Office, Power BI and BEP analysis tools, Cross functional communication and leadership experience, working on NPI commercialization efforts including gathering customer feedback through launch of products, presentation skills across an organization.
  • Effective relationship builder and leader with experience of delivering success working within a cross functional and cross geographical team
  • Experience in analyzing, building, and executing strategic plans with experience in developing and driving operational / marketing plans to tactical execution.
  • Experienced identifying market trends, obtaining VOC and converting it to actionable insights
  • Demonstrable track record delivering successful product commercialization and traversing the new product development (NPI) process / gate reviews / etc.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with an understanding of P&L management (Sales / Price / Volume / Margin analysis)
  • Effective communicator with experience of influencing and delivering results in a matrix environment
  • Displays a strong ability to rapidly problem solve as well as drive themselves and team to execution / decision making
  • Self motivated, enthusiastic and driven with an entrepreneurial mindset as a leader across global teams
  • Brand management experience

3M appoints RTX CFO Neil Mitchill to board of directors

3M has elected Neil Mitchill to its Board of Directors, effective 6 February 2026. Mitchill will serve on the Audit Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee. Mitchill is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at RTX Corporation, a position he has held since 2021. He previously held financial leadership roles at United Technologies Corporation before its 2020 merger with Raytheon Company, including stints as Acting Senior Vice President and CFO, and CFO of Pratt & Whitney. He spent 17 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in client service and lead partner roles. 3M Chairman and CEO William Brown said Mitchill's financial expertise and strategic experience would benefit the board, shareholders and customers.

Tariffs squeeze margins at 3M, P&G and McCormick despite Q4 earnings up 14%

Following the April 2025 tariff announcement, analysts initially revised earnings estimates sharply downward. However, as tariff implementation was delayed and final rates proved lower than expected, estimates were subsequently revised upward during the first half of 2025. Major companies including 3M, Procter & Gamble and McCormick recently cited tariffs as headwinds. Procter & Gamble reported its fifth consecutive quarter of declining margins, with tariff impacts offsetting US price increases. McCormick also experienced margin pressure from tariffs. In the Q4 earnings season, 143 S&P 500 companies have reported results, showing total earnings up 14% year-over-year on 8.3% higher revenues. Some 76.9% beat earnings per share estimates whilst 55.2% exceeded revenue expectations.

He warned this negative response from investors could signal broader trouble for industrial stocks during earnings season. Analysts remain divided, with Wolfe Research calling the selloff an overreaction and UBS maintaining a Buy rating with a $190 price target.
