Requirements
  • BA/BS degree
  • 1-3 years in an IT support environment
  • Experience with Windows 10 and macOS
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Experience troubleshooting complicated systems and problems
  • Eager to learn Linux and related technologies
  • Excellent writing/documentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with small teams
  • A passion for technology and helping users fix their problems
  • Experience with iOS/Android/Linux a plus
Responsibilities
  • Manage all Windows and macOS desktops and laptops in our San Mateo, Raleigh, and Harrisonburg offices
  • Assist in the deployment, maintenance, and support of all software, hardware, and operating systems
  • Assist with onboarding by setting up new accounts and hardware
  • Troubleshoot issues with Windows and Linux Servers
  • Research and resolve employee support tickets involving hardware, software, and malware in an efficient and timely manner
  • Provide training to improve user awareness of all IT services and best practices
  • Work with vendors in purchasing hardware and software
  • Administration of Google Apps, Vonage phone system, and other office-wide employee-facing systems
  • Effective communication with fellow employees
