Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
  • Conduct research, design, development, and testing of electrical hardware including mixed signal circuit boards, FPGAs, microcontrollers and electro-mechanical components.
  • Ensure reliability, develop technical specifications for production, analyze hardware configuration and processing solutions, and test hardware conformance to specifications; may include designing new or modifying existing products.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing FPGA code and digital and mixed-signal board design
  • Experience with FPGA design using VHDL
  • Understanding of electronic design, analog/digital circuit design
  • Experience with ORCAD and Altium schematic capture and PCB layout tools
  • Ability to utilize lab test equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic and network analyzers)
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze problems, and develop solutions using technical knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, debugging and testing
  • Experience in designing and testing medical equipment and familiarity with 60601-1 standard
  • C/C++ embedded device (microcontroller) programming experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment
  • Interest in gaining an understanding of cardiac electrophysiology
  • Staying current with new technologies and being able to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques as needed
  • Ensuring accuracy and precision in technical tasks, which is crucial for quality and reliability
