Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in hospital revenue cycle management.
  • 5+ years of experience in hospital revenue cycle management, including patient access, billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and persuasive software demonstrations to clients.
  • Deep understanding of clinical workflows and their impact on revenue cycle efficiency, reimbursement, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems, preferably Altera’s (formerly Allscripts) solutions or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare revenue cycle setting, such as Patient Accounting Director, Revenue Cycle Manager, or Billing Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver highly engaging and persuasive software demonstrations illustrating the value of Altera’s revenue cycle and clinical solutions.
  • Customize and tailor demonstrations to address client pain points directly, ensuring relevance and impact.
  • Present complex healthcare workflows clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences, including C-suite executives, IT analysts, and end-users.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in hospital revenue cycle operations, including patient access, scheduling, charge capture, billing, coding, reimbursement, and compliance.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of how clinical workflows affect revenue cycle processes, such as eligibility verification, medical necessity checks, claims adjudication, and denial management.
  • Stay informed on healthcare regulations, industry trends, and evolving best practices to ensure demonstrations align with the latest industry standards.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to configure and optimize demo environments, ensuring they align with client requirements and best practices.
  • Translate client needs and sales team insights into effective and tailored demo scenarios.
  • Maintain and update demonstration environments to reflect new software features, industry trends, and real-world use cases.
  • Conduct in-depth client needs assessments to tailor demonstrations for maximum impact.
  • Address client questions, concerns, and objections with expertise and confidence.
  • Build strong rapport and credibility with prospective clients by demonstrating deep industry knowledge.
  • Support the sales team with pre-sales activities, including developing demo scripts, sales strategies, and client-focused materials.
  • Provide valuable feedback to product management teams regarding client needs, market demands, and industry challenges.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with RAC audits and claim scrubbing software for compliance and revenue optimization.
  • Experience with ASC (Ambulatory Surgical Center) and APC (Ambulatory Payment Classification) reimbursement models.
  • Experience with medical necessity checking and its role in claim approvals and revenue integrity.
  • Experience with open database systems and their benefits in revenue cycle management and reporting.
