Job Description – 

The Bookkeeper will work closely with various company leaders. In addition, the Bookkeeper will ensure tracking, timely processing, and payment of AP accounts. In order to be successful, the person in this role must have superior attention to detail, exceptional organization, and time management skills, and strong sense of ethics and integrity.  

Responsibilities

• Oversees internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports.
• Ensures reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards. 
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• 5 years or more of Finance or Accounting Management experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization.
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
• Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with other financial systems.
• Experience within the legal industry is a plus
• Excellent mediation skills are a must.
• Quickbooks and IOLTA account management experience is required.
