- A Bachelor's degree, four years of mental health experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- One year of experience working in the human services field is preferred.
- A clean New York State driving record is required.
- Use of a personal vehicle is required.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- Assist tenants in securing a safe and affordable apartment of their choice.
- Support tenants with establishing and maintaining utilities.
- Assist with purchasing furniture and needed household items.
- Contact tenants directly at least monthly to review their current living environment and monitor their mental health status.
- Document all visits and client contacts in the tenant's record.
- Practice person-centered practices and demonstrate a positive, caring demeanor when working with tenants.
- Work with tenants and their service providers to provide regular ongoing support.
- Assist tenants, when necessary, in settling housing-related disputes with landlords.
- Provide teaching, monitoring, and recovery-oriented supports in areas associated with living independently.
- Work with tenants to ensure that all entitlements are secured and maintained.
- Work with tenants and their support teams to create individualized housing support plans.
- Provide transportation to tenants when necessary.
- Ensure that tenants maintain required clinical services and other linkages, including medical and dental treatment and vocational education as needed.
- Ensure that all new tenants apply for HUD / Section 8 housing.
- Maintain adequate records, provider reports, and statistics as requested by the supervisor.
- Coordinate tenants' move-in and move-out processes as necessary.
- Perform other duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the program.
- One year of experience working in the human services field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pan-American Square Apartments wins Community Impact Award. SWBR Company is pleased to announce that DePaul Pan-American Square Apartments has been recognized with the 2025 Community Impact Award by the Buffalo/WNY Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. This award honors projects that make a meaningful difference in their communities through thoughtful, inclusive design. Completed earlier this year, Pan-American Square Apartments transformed a former rail corridor into a 150-unit affordable and supportive housing community in Buffalo, NY. Designed to Passive House standards, the development provides energy-efficient homes and essential services for seniors and individuals experiencing homelessness or mental illness. More than housing, it is a catalyst for community revitalization, delivering stability, sustainability, and hope for Buffalo's most vulnerable residents. Jury Comment: The integration of community-based programs and sustainable design at the Pan-American Square Apartments struck the jury. Exemplifying the criteria of the Community Award, the Pan-American Square Apartments took a holistic approach to senior living and supportive housing that will have a lasting positive impact on the WNY community. It is clear that this project will uplift and provide stability for the most vulnerable members of its community and the design team took every opportunity to maximize resources available to its residents. SWBR provided architectural, interior design, structural engineering, landscape architecture, and graphic design services for the project. The awards celebration was held Thursday, November 6 in Buffalo, NY.
