Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a similar engineering major is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required, including consulting experience and solid waste industry experience such as landfill gas management, air compliance, or landfill design and permitting.
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing is required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record on projects for public and private clients, primarily in Utah and the Southwest region.
  • Perform and lead solid waste projects involving landfill gas, landfills and landfill infrastructure, composting, and related work.
  • Perform engineering design, permitting, construction, and operations support for solid waste projects.
  • Apply engineering and scientific principles and practices to solid waste assignments and related fields.
  • Work independently on engineering or scientific problems, methods, plans, and project coordination.
  • Represent the company at meetings and conferences.
  • Perform field work in varied terrain and weather, including surveys, data gathering, CQA liner installation activities, and inspections.
  • Complete office-based CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, site plans, facility diagrams, and permit applications.
  • Support business development through proposal preparation, client meetings, and industry conferences and trade shows.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Professional Engineer license is highly preferred.
