  • An Associate of Arts degree or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis are required.
  • Criminal clearance, including fingerprinting and a tuberculosis test, is required.
  • Previous experience working with and supervising children is required.
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid certification must be obtained within three months of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Assist scholars who need additional support in and outside the classroom, including wheelchair assistance, toileting, and lunch or snack support.
  • Collaborate with scholars’ general education and resource specialist program teachers.
  • Facilitate reading intervention, small-group instruction, and pull-out groups.
  • Conduct academic assessments.
  • Provide instruction in drills and activities using learning strategies designed to introduce, reinforce, or modify skills.
  • Participate in professional development focused on school culture and academics.
  • Assist teachers during the school day with instruction, oversight, and supervision of students.
  • Follow policies and procedures for health, safety, and nutrition.
  • Maintain high behavioral expectations and enforce the academy’s positive discipline policies.
  • Maintain open communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide adaptive support with eating and toileting when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • A Bachelor of Arts degree is preferred.
