Requirements
- A doctoral degree in behavior analysis, education, or psychology is required; candidates with education or psychology degrees should have an academic concentration in Behavior Analysis.
- A Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Behavior Analyst–Doctoral credential with supervision training is required, along with a New York Licensed Behavior Analyst license or license eligibility.
- Experience teaching applied behavior analysis at the graduate level is required.
- Competence in using technology as an educational tool is required.
- A commitment to working in multicultural and urban education settings is required.
- Relevant knowledge must be maintained and applied.
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with supervisors, peers, and students are required.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required.
- Proficiency in SPSS is essential, and knowledge of data analysis in Excel is beneficial.
- Experience using the Canvas educational platform is required.
- Experience searching Internet journal libraries and Google Scholar is required.
Responsibilities
- Teach a minimum of one graduate-level course in the Master of Science and Advanced Certificate programs.
- Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Record and report student data promptly and accurately.
- Support students’ learning goals by focusing on student learning outcomes, taking into account students’ needs and abilities, becoming familiar with academic and social support, making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences, maintaining the academic integrity of the college, and being available to assist students in achieving their learning goals.
- Support the growing student population through teaching, advising, and collaborating on research initiatives.
- Collaborate with other programs within the department.
