SambaNova Systems is looking for talented and motivated engineers to help us solve some of the most challenging problems in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data analytics. You will lead a small team of engineers dedicated to the hardware acceleration of our technology, including defining, creating, and debugging/prototyping emulation models. We rely on these models to validate our architecture, accelerate our simulation environment, and provide a stable platform for software development, as they are keys to our success.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Work hands-on with RTL design, design verification, and software engineers to drive the development of prototyping/emulation models and workflows and debug system-level issues on industry-standard platforms.
• Develop high-performance transactors and emulation models in SystemVerilog and C/C++
• Develop and optimize build and runtime flows to enable quick turnaround of functional and performance issues
• Drive improvements by harnessing the capabilities of the emulator technology and by identifying/fixing bottlenecks in the test bench collateral
• Proactively monitor and resolve issues ensuring efficient utilization of the platform through automation and other innovations
• Partner with vendors to debug and quickly resolve blocking issues, pioneer and deploy new capabilities

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• M.S. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 8-10 years of relevant work experience or B.S. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 10+ years of relevant work experience. (New or recent college graduates should apply to one of our University jobs)
• Industry-standard emulation technologies such as Palladium, Zebu, or Veloce
• Strong coding skills in SystemVerilog and scripting/automation languages 
• Knowledge of emulation compilation flows, debug capabilities, and performance tuning
• Develop simulation and emulation friendly verification IP in C/C++ or System Verilog
