Role Summary:
As the Head of Flight Sciences, you will lead a team in the development of cutting-edge kinetic strike weapon programs, specifically Viper and Glide. Your extensive experience in flight dynamics and vehicle performance will be critical as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of our advanced aerospace projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee comprehensive analyses of flight vehicle performance, including aerodynamic, control, structural, and thermal assessments.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with industry standards.
Develop and implement advanced flight dynamics simulations and modeling techniques to predict vehicle behavior under various operating conditions.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Support flight test planning and execution by defining key performance metrics, analyzing test data, and correlating results with predictive models.
Ensure understanding of DoD certification processes throughout project development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in flight sciences, with a focus on flight dynamics, aerodynamics, and structural analysis within the aerospace or defense sectors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.
Proficiency in simulation tools and methodologies relevant to flight dynamics and performance analysis.
Strong understanding of flight vehicle systems, control theory, and environmental impact assessments.
Proficient with LS-DYNA, STAR-CCM+, or similar simulation tools.
Experience in leading and inspiring teams in fast-paced environments.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
