Lab Test Engineer @ Archer

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:

Collaborate with aircraft system engineers to develop test plans and procedures
Assist in coordination of integrated lab test scheduling
Support and/or execution of test procedures in integrated test labs
Support and/or creation of test data collection and reports
Development and maintenance of integrated test lab operating procedures

What you need:

Bachelor’s degree is Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in aircraft system integration and test
Knowledge of aircraft systems and operation
Development and/or execution of aircraft system verification and/or validation procedures
Familiarity with communication protocols such as A429, CAN, Serial (RS-485/RS-422/RS-232), Ethernet
Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:

Experience with HIL and/or real-time simulation environments
Knowledge of Python scripting language

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
