Requirements
  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), with some post high school training.
  • Associates degree in business or office practice is preferred.
  • One to three years of related experience preferred.
  • Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, customer service, basic knowledge of therapy services and medical terminology; Able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate department communications, answers the telephone, coordinates and may relay patient requests to members of the OT/PT department
  • Registers outpatients into AMC patient management system
  • Verifies insurances for outpatients
  • Operates basic office equipment and trains other members of the department on basic use
  • Demonstrates proficient computer skills
  • Assembles and maintains department records/outpatient charts
  • Organizes and files department data
  • Maintains adequate supplies of forms, unit supplies and equipment
  • Responsible for delivering excellent customer service in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to use electronic systems such as medical records, scheduling, and data bases
  • Ability to problem solve, organize, and make suggestions for work flow improvement.
  • Provide administrative day to day support for therapists and manager.
  • Design, create, maintain, various Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts 7 days/week.
