Requirements
  • 2+ years experience within outside sales of industrial products
  • High school Diploma / GED required
  • College degree in business, sales, engineering, or related discipline preferred
  • General understanding of the industrial supply/distribution business
  • Knowledge and expertise in hydraulics, fluid transfer, lubrication, MRO, safety, and mining-related products
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Some overnight travel may be required
Responsibilities
  • Promote and facilitate the sale of mining and industrial supplies to core and target accounts within the territory
  • Market planning and research to determine opportunities with core and target accounts
  • Work with branch managers to promote product lines to core and target accounts
  • Develop action plans for each territory to capture a major share of business
  • Visit customer sites daily to ascertain needs, take orders, and promote products
  • Work with Inventory Control regarding stock levels and obsolete inventory
