Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Familyoffice.com reported about 350 families and 90+ advisors as of August 2026.
  • FOX’s 2026 council calendar shows recurring demand across executive, owner, and advisor segments.
  • Leadership under Gaby Griffin and David Toth can sharpen member acquisition after 2026 restructuring.

What critics are saying

  • 2026 leadership changes replaced interim co-presidents with new membership roles, signaling organizational churn.
  • Familyoffice.com emphasizes councils and research, but competitors can replicate content faster through AI.
  • If membership growth stalls, FOX loses its core network moat and becomes a commoditized event business.

What makes Family Office Exchange unique

  • FOX runs curated councils, not generic conferences, with 25-person peer groups and vetted members.
  • Its membership spans about 350 families and 90+ advisors, giving unusually dense network effects.
  • FOX’s 30-year brand and specialized family-office research create switching costs for UHNW members.
