About the Role:
This role represents a chance to take part in building out a highly requested product feature in Klaviyo. If you like having autonomy in your work and are excited to work on features that matter, this is a rare opportunity.
As a Software Engineer on our Deliverability Insights team you will build out new reporting surfaces in Klaviyo centered on deliverability metrics. This will allow Klaviyo customers to better understand what they are doing well and where they can improve. This is a highly requested feature in the Klaviyo platform.
You will also build out experiences that guide customers through improving their message sending practices and deliverability. The team will work iteratively in an agile fashion and you will measure user interactions and other success criteria for all the features you build. The team is newly formed and only has a product manager at the moment. You will be one of two (planned) engineers on the team. As software engineer on the team you will be expected to take part and contribute to technical discussions and adhere to engineering best practices.
How you’ll make an impact:
- You will build out features that let tens of thousands of Klaviyo customers better understand their deliverability metrics and messaging practices.
- You will help architect and build systems that guide customers to action on poor deliverability metrics.
- You will help maintain and operate delivered features and triage any problems that come up.
Technologies we use (not comprehensive):
- Python, Django, React, Typescript
- MySQL, RabbitMQ
- AWS (EC2, RDS, EMR etc.), Kubernetes, Apache airflow
What you’ll need:
- 2+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- You have an interest in full stack development,
- Experienced with cloud-based system development and deployment, AWS preferred.
- Experience with maintaining and improving performance, reliability, and scalability of systems.
- Enjoy shipping code early & often in an agile fashion, pairing with product management to craft better software by soliciting feedback from thousands of end users.
- Authorisation to work in the UK without restriction.
- We offer hybrid working so all Klaviyos are required to come into the office twice a week
