- Knowledge and experience in defining and implementing Master Data Management and/or Data Governance strategies and solutions
- Ability to think strategically about the bigger picture and also deep-dive into technical specifics
- Strong program management and communication skills
- Knowledge of business processes such as S&OP, revenue forecasting, supply chain management, etc.
- Programming skills in one or more general-purpose languages (Python, Go, C++, or similar.)
- Knowledge of the modern data stack landscape (Airflow, Dagster, dbt, Atlan, Alteryx, Collibra, Talend, Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, Metabase, Mode, Superset, Fivetran, Stitch, etc.)
- Experience with data privacy/protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Knowledge of data security and access management
- Establish and lead the data governance council, and provide expert guidance to shepherd and align business stakeholders, analysts, and technical staff
- Develop and execute data governance and master data strategy, roadmap, & policies to enhance data accuracy, completeness, integrity, consistency, and timeliness
- Actively participate in the design of data schemas to support governance and business objectives
- Train and mentor staff and business partners to improve data handling, governance practices, and business processes
- Utilize technical skills to engage in hands-on data quality improvement projects, including identification and resolution of data quality issues
- Collaborate broadly with business units, such as Finance, Operations, Commercial, and R&D, to ensure high-quality data integration in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
- Partner with business teams, data engineers, and analysts to design, implement, & maintain tools, integrations, and solutions for data governance, MDM, etc.
